Built for teams SaaS observability left behind.
Cloud adoption created an observability problem that the existing vendor model made worse. More data, more cost, less control. Tsuga was founded to fix that, by bringing enterprise observability inside your cloud instead of asking you to send everything to ours.

We watched the same problem compound for years
Cloud adoption changed what observability needed to be. Systems became more distributed, more dynamic, and harder to understand. Teams needed to see more: more services, more metrics, more log context, deeper traces. The observability category grew to meet that need, and the tools got genuinely powerful.
But the commercial model didn't evolve alongside the product. As teams instrumented more aggressively, their bills grew faster than their systems. Per-host pricing penalised teams for scaling. Cardinality limits pushed engineers to drop the very dimensions that made metrics useful. Retention windows got shorter because keeping data longer cost too much. The incentives were backwards.
SaaS observability tools were creating the cost and dependency problems they were supposed to solve. We decided to build something different.
There was a second problem running alongside the cost issue: control. Regulated industries, teams handling sensitive data, and organisations with strict data residency requirements were being asked to ship all their operational telemetry to a third-party cloud. For many, that wasn't a trade-off they could accept. For others, it was a compliance conversation that never quite closed.
Tsuga was founded in 2024 to address both problems at once. The idea was straightforward: build an enterprise observability platform that runs inside your cloud account, not ours. You get the experience and capabilities of a managed SaaS tool. We manage the lifecycle and deliver the platform. Your data never leaves your environment.
We brought together a team with deep roots at Datadog and complementary experience across observability, engineering, and go-to-market, because building this well requires understanding both the technical depth of the problem and how organisations actually adopt and scale these tools in practice.
