About the role & the team

We’re looking for a senior product designer with strong opinions and the ability to lead projects end-to-end to join Tsuga.
You’ll be working hand-in-hand with Marine, our first founding designer, and report directly to our CTO Seb.
As our second designer, you’ll help build foundations, shape standards, and you will be consistently involved in product decisions.
Tsuga is an observability and monitoring platform for developers. It helps engineering teams control, monitor and fix their infrastructure. It’s a complex, data-heavy environment where clarity, structure, and strong product thinking matter deeply.
You will benefit from a big play-ground as everything needs to be done, you will have lots of freedom and autonomy regarding product, design system and data visualisation.
Your main missions will be:
  • Get your hands dirty with observability to understand our product and users
  • Work hand-in-hand with product and engineering team
  • Co-own and evolve the design system
  • Use AI tools such as Codex and Claude to test your ideas faster
  • Build strong experience and lead design solutions end-to-end
  • Create high-fidelity solutions in Figma
  • Contribute to product strategy
  • Establish principles, rules, and standards that define our product
  • Align product experience with our evolving marketing brand
  • Communicate and advocate for your design decisions clearly
  • Iterate quickly based on feedback and customer needs. We are a startup, and we need to move fast to improve features or respond to new requests

About you & what we are looking for

We need someone pragmatic, with a builder mentality, that will enjoy crafting thoughtful experiences, refining details, and develop the product within a fast-pace environment.
You are
  • Highly autonomous and proactive
  • Opinionated, you enjoy debating ideas constructively
  • Comfortable switching contexts frequently
  • Not afraid to challenge decisions and rethink existing solutions
  • Open to feedback and willing to rethink decisions when needed
  • Working on Figma
You have
  • Excellent UI craft. This is essential. As one of two designers, you genuinely enjoy crafting high-quality interfaces and sweating the details. You care about typography, spacing, hierarchy, and visual consistency, and you take pride in delivering polished, high-fidelity work.
  • Strong UX thinking. We regularly tackle complex problems. You’re able to transform complexity into smooth, intuitive, and structured experiences. You know how to simplify without oversimplifying.
  • Experience building or scaling design systems. There isn’t a dedicated design system owner, we will co-own, evolve, and maintain it together. You’re comfortable defining standards, structuring components, and ensuring consistency at scale.
  • Strong collaboration with frontend engineers. At Tsuga, design and frontend work very closely together. You’re comfortable communicating frequently with engineers, aligning on constraints and opportunities, and sometimes collaborating directly to refine solutions and ensure a cohesive experience.
